Mac OS Installation Notes:
1. Install Splunk
2. Don't start Splunk yet...
3. Copy & overwrite the cracked splunkd to /Applications/Splunk/bin/
4. Disable Splunk File Integrity Check by editing the limits.conf located in /Applications/Splunk/etc/system/default
Search for: installed_files_integrity = enabled
Change to: installed_files_integrity = disabled

5. Disable Splunk Automatic checking for new versions by editing the web.conf located in /Applications/Splunk/etc/system/default
Search for: updateCheckerBaseURL = https://quickdraw.splunk.com/js/
Change to: updateCheckerBaseURL = 0

6. Start Splunk, login, and install included splunk-enterprise.lic [Settings => Licensing => Add License => splunk-enterprise.lic => Restart... ]
